- The Annie E. Casey Foundation gives accessible and useful statistics about health, children, and families. Information is available in a number of different forms, such as maps, state-by-state rankings, and line graphs.

- American Academy of Pediatrics' website hosts an external site, filled with information including: Current health updates on SARS and Monkey Pox, information on discipline, food allergies, safety tips for parents and caregivers. Has a section for parents called "You and Your Family," which includes a number of publications in Spanish. The Policy Paper on Discipline (searching policy statements using the keyword "discipline") can be a useful tool for staff discussions.
- The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry website enables you download and print a number of helpful brochures for parents on a wide variety of topics, starting with preventive dental care during infancy.
- The Child Trauma Academy of Houston, Tx. website includes a special link to Dr. Bruce Perry's site especially for teachers and caregivers. This is an outstanding site for learning about Brain Development (includes a narrated slide show about development and organization of the brain). The site also has terrific information about the importance of a secure attachment, how secure attachments are formed, and how attachment is related to the development of self-regulation and self-control in children.
- The I Am Your Child Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of early childhood development and school readiness. You can get access here to the growing list of high quality videos for parents produced by I Am Your Child. The Foundation also provides support to communities that want to raise awareness of the need for support and education around early childhood needs.
- LaLeche League is a great multi-lingual resource with useful information about breastfeeding. Click on "breastfeeding information." Materials are available through this site in many languages, including: Arabic, Afrikaans, Chinese, Croation, Georgian, German, Greek, French, Czech, Dutch, Flemish, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Luxembourgish, Polish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Spanish and Russian.
- The National Association for Family Child Care website provides access to information about family child care. They also have a credential for family day care providers. The website describes the accreditation process. Parents can search the site for accredited providers.
- The National Center for the Education of Young Children provides accreditation for daycare and preschool facilities. The purpose of the accreditation is to improve the quality of care and education for young children in group programs. The website also has a number of educational resources of interest to parents and to group care providers.
- The National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities website is in both English and Spanish and has information and publications for parents and professionals.
- Through the Looking Glass is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing research, training and services for and about families in which a parent, a child, or a grandparent has a disability or long-term medical issue. A newsletter for parents with disabilities is available through the website, as are publications dealing with a range of issues relating to disabilities, and a parent-to-parent bulletin board.
- Zero To Three calls itself "the nation's leading resource on the first three years of life." Their website contains quantities of excellent resources for parents and for professionals (they are in separate sections). Under the Parents section, check out "Parenting A-Z" for a quick look and to get an idea of the wealth of resources here.
